Dr. Lieschen H. Quiroz is an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences and is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. She earned her undergraduate degree at Brown University, and received her doctor of medicine from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. She completed her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Quiroz has national and international recognition for her research in pelvic floor disorders and childbirth injury by utilizing the novel technique of 3D ultrasonography. She is considered an expert in pelvic floor imaging and has served as teaching faculty in numerous 3D ultrasound workshops at the International Continence Society, the International Urogynecological Association, the American Urogynecologic Society, the Society for Gynecologic Surgeons, and the American Urologic Association. Her clinical interests include childbirth injury, pelvic floor imaging, mesh complications, pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Quiroz is an innovative researcher in the field of pelvic floor imaging and has an extensive list of more than 60 original scientific articles and book chapters. She is an expert in robotic, laparoscopic and vaginal surgery, and has a strong commitment the medical education of students, residents and fellows. She is currently the Division Director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences.
