Description

This lecture will review the historical procedures in urology that demonstrate the principles of operating on the ureter. A modern approach to dealing with ureteral vaginal fistula treatment will be reviewed in detail. Management of complications associated with ureteral injury will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the principles when the ureter is injured during pelvic floor procedures
  • Review treatment options for ureteral injury
  • Understand the current treatment algorithm for managing ureteral vaginal fistula
